New Race Route – University Drive to Junkanoo Beach
For added safety of all UBFIT participants, the race route has changed. The new suggested route will leave University of The Bahamas on University Drive heading north on Nassau Street, West on West Bay Street, and turning around at the halfway points for the 5K,10K, and newly implemented 15K.
UBFIT Still Has Swag
The $35.00 registration fee includes a UBFIT swag bag with race registration, a dry fit t-shirt, and giveaways from numerous sponsors. Additionally, each participant will receive a signature year 5 finisher’s medal and access to a printed certificate of completion. UBFIT hats will be on sale for an additional $20.
Race bags in New Providence and Grand Bahama can be collected during the week of March 28th from 9am to 5pm at Chapter One Bookstore in New Providence on University Drive or at the UB-North Business Office in Grand Bahama on West Atlantic Drive. International participants will receive their race bags post race.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE FACE TO FACE (Pending Ministry of Health Approval)
On Saturday, 30th April 2022 at 6:00 a.m. race participants with social distance will gather at University of The Bahamas main entrance on University Drive. For increased safety for all participants, there will be staggered start times for those walking, running, skating, pushing and biking. Participants are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to the race, there will be a warm-up at 5:45am.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE VIRTUALLY
From April 29th – May 1st 2022 (noon) Virtual UBFIT participants will run, walk, bike, skate or push safely on their own completing either the 5K (3.1 miles), 10K (6.2 miles) or 15K (9.3 miles).
These miles should be tracked on a fitness app with a screenshot taken, the miles should be posted on the same day of completion to UBFIT’s Facebook page @UBFIT2022. Persons without a social media profile can email a screenshot to firstname.lastname@example.org.
There will be a daily Virtual UBFIT race completion check-in option. Please indicate your category (5K Walker, 5K Runner etc.) and share a screenshot of your race completion miles as shown here.Participants in The Bahamas will then be eligible to receive a finisher’s medal for collection on Sunday, 3rd April, 1pm – 4pm at UB’s main entrance (University Drive) at the socially distanced, drive by Race Village.
In Grand Bahama participants can collect their medals one week later at the UB-North Business Office. International participants will receive a printable UBFIT Virtual certificate of completion and will be provided the option to have their race bags and medals shipped post race.
